2. CleanTools 51149
The CleanTools Absorber looks like the old Chamois that my dad used to dry his Chevy. However, this is not a traditional leather Chamois but a technological advancement in man made product design. The Absorber is made of PVA (Poly Vinyl Alcohol). We found that the Absorber was much more effective at doing our vehicles than either terrycloth towels or leather chamois.
Before using the Absorber for the first, time it is worth taking time to rinse with liquid detergent and warm water. The manufacturer advises that you should not use fabric softener or bleach or dry in the dryer. After using the Absorber, it should be rinsed, wrung out, and placed back in tube damp.
Make sure it is completely clean before putting it back in the tube, otherwise it can develop a must odor or grow mold. The Absorber’s anti-mold and mildew technology will prevent rotting, but do be aware that this only works if the Absorber is kept completely free from dirt and grime when returned to the tube.
As far as drying towel for cars go, The Absorber has amongst the best drying capabilities as a result of its sponge-like structure which enhance its liquid absorption capabilities. The Absorber becomes very hard if it is allowed to air dry. However, it can be revived by soaking it in warm water, if it is allowed to become very dry it will need to soak for half an hour or so.
I use the Absorber by laying it flat and dragging it across the flat surfaces of my car. I have found it to be a quick and effective tool for drying my car.

Meguiar’s Microfiber Water Magnet Drying Towel absorbs up to two times the amount of water from traditional terry towels. The waffle design microfiber is designed to to pick up extra amounts of water with just a quick swipe. This microfiber towel is designed to work just like a magnet for water, leaving a spotless finish and gleaming vehicle.
The Meguiar’s Microfiber Water Magnet Drying Towel is a great reusable towel to finish off your car-wash with and mostly leaves behind spot-free finish, however, I did not find this towel to be quite as absorbent as other best towel for drying cars on the market, I had to wring it out more regularly than other towels. I would have preferred this towel to be a bit bigger, at 22” by 30” it just can’t compare with the 7ft Viking towel.
I tried the Meguiar’s Microfiber Water Magnet Drying Towel on my boat and brought it with me on an expeditions and during a couple of days out in the ocean. I found that it was perfect for cleaning up spills in and around the boat and for ensuring that the exterior of the boat remained in tip-top polished to perfection condition.
It’s smaller size is actually a bonus for expeditions on the boat, out on my motorcycle and on cycling trips with the family. It folds up small, so it is handy to throw in a bag and pull out to keep my bike looking its best at all times.
All in all, this is a good all-round towel, though perhaps not the best drying towel for cars at home.

The Woolly Mammoth Microfiber Dryer Towel features silk banded edging to eliminate scratching and swirls and the manufacturer guarantees that the towel will stay soft throughout its lifetime, this is a result of the clever spiral, split fibers which are designed to deliver a soft and absorbent microfiber.
This microfiber towel is machine washable, but you should take care to wash the towels separately from the rest of your laundry to ensure that they remain lint free. They dry quickly on a washing line and for added convenience can be machine dried on low setting, so long as this is also separate from other laundry.

5. THE RAG COMPANY (2-Pack)
I liked the fact that these towels came in a two-pack. That always seems like good value for money. The rag company is a family-owned business and as such take a pride in the quality of their product and customer service.
This was a major positive for me, as was the fact that these towels are designed, packaged and distributed in the USA. The company have established a great reputation for customer service and they are renowned for dealing with issues and complaints quickly and with professionalism.
The manufacturer advises that you wash the towels before using them for the first time. They are machine washable and you can use a mild detergent with them too. They can be line dried or dried in the tumble drier, but you must not use fabric softener, bleach, or iron them.
These towels must also be washed separately from the rest of the laundry, with the exception of other microfiber products.
The main criticism I had of this product was that the waffle weave was very flat, perhaps more of a cosmetic than functional design. This towel was not quite as plush or soft as the other best drying towel for cars on the market. The towel is not the most absorbent one in the list and I would recommend using it for buffing rather than drying.
